Robbery
The elements of Robbery are outlined in Chapter 29 of the Texas Penal Code and a person commits Robbery when in the course of committing theft he:
- Intentionally, knowingly or knowingly causes bodily injury to another person; or
- Intentionally or knowingly threatens or places another in fear of imminent bodily injury or death.
The more serious crime of Aggravated Robbery is committed if the person commits robbery and he:
- Causes serious bodily injury to another;
- Uses or exhibits a deadly weapon; or
- Causes bodily injury or threatens another person when the person is over 65 years old or is disabled.
